Nancy M. Walker, 77 of Horton, Kansas passed away peacefully in her sleep at Anew Nursing Home in Hiawatha, Kansas on July 3rd, 2024, after along battle with dementia.

Nance was born on April 21, 1947 in Horton, Kansas the daughter of Joseph "Shorty" and Mary "Neva" Walker. Nancy graduated from Horton High School and lived here entire life in Horton. She decided to become a beautician and attended school in Kansas City, Missouri. She obtained her beauty license for the state of Missouri and Kansas. She was a beautician in Horton for fifty plus years, working with Joey Montes, Veda Knudson and Ev Hammersmith, she also worked at Duckwalls for many years until the stores closing. Nancy loved her family and her animals.

Nancy was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Jerry Walker and Harold Walker. She is survived by a sister-in-law, Shirley Walker; two nieces, Pam (Don) Garrison and Sandy Maines; four great nephews, Donnie Jr. (Miranda), Kevin (Charle), Shane (Cheyenna) Garrison and Randy Maines (Arlissa); one great niece, Nicole Staley and several great-great nieces and nephews.

The family will greet friends from 10:00 to 11:00 A.M. on Monday, July 8, 2024 at the Dishon-Maple-Chaney Mortuary. A private family graveside service will be held at the Horton Cemetery.
