Alexander “Alex” J. Moore, 40, of Sabetha, Kansas, passed away on Thursday, April 11, 2024, after a battle with mental illness.

Alex was born on November 24, 1983, to Alfred Moore, Jr., and Denise (Baker) Moore in Topeka, Kansas. After graduating from Sabetha High School in 2002, he studied Psychology and Safety and Human Factors at Highland Community College and Pittsburg State University. He graduated and earned degrees from both.

For several years, Alex shared his musical talents throughout cities in Kansas and Missouri. Not only did he have a passion for music, but he also had a passion for making others feel like they were enough. Alex radiated with joy, intelligence, questionable humor, and the truest love. No matter where he was in life, he “brought the beat” to everyone he encountered.

In 2015, he met Paige Brenneman, in Omaha, Nebraska and they moved to Sabetha in 2019. In 2023, they became parents to a son, Julian.

Alex was preceded in death by his grandfather, Alfred Moore, Sr.; his grandmother, Lucille Moore; grandfather, Keith Moore; uncles, Keith Brooks Jr., and David Baker; and Cheryl Campbell.

Alex is survived by his parents, Alfred Moore, Jr. and Denise Baker; grandmother, Karen Wiltz; partner, Paige Brenneman; son, Julian Moore; sisters, Dawn Moore, Alise Moore, Kayla Moore, and Kare Leuze; nieces and nephews; and other family members and friends.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, April 18, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. at the NorthRidge Church in Sabetha. After the service, the family invites everyone to come to the Sabetha VFW to share memories of Alex and to honor his life.
