Walter Leroy Ridge, 79, of Wathena, Kansas passed away Friday, February 2, 2024, at his home.

Walter was born on November 29, 1944, in Kansas City, Missouri to Paul and Stella (Spoor) Ridge.

He worked for the Railroad as a switchman for 15 years, and then for Markt Trucking as an independent contractor for 27 years and retired in 2017.

Walter married Yolanda Pulido on November 28, 1964, in St. Joseph, Missouri. She survives of the home. He was also preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Wayne Ridge, nephew, Daniel Ridge and a niece Angela Price-William.

Additional survivors: children, Aurora Kerns (Rick), Lavita Bohon (Ronnie) and Eva Ridge Phillips.

Grandchildren, Vanessa Kerns (Spencer) and Andrea Peck (Austin), Arcelia and Ronald Jr. Bohon (Hannah), Elijah (Elizabeth), Merle (Dakota) and Teresa Phillips.

Great-grandchildren, Ayden Peck, Zane, Preston and Kaden Conard, Aiden Reeves, Kane and Easton Bohon, Hannah with one on the way, Opal and Violet Phillips.

Nieces and nephews, Cynthia (David) Medina, Pamela and Christopher Kalt Sr., and Robert Ridge. Grandnephew, Christopher P. Kalt Jr. (Elizabeth).

Walter- wishes were to be cremated.

Memorial Service: 2:00 P.M. Thursday, February 8, 2024.

At the Harman-Rohde Funeral Home in Wathena, Kansas.

Inurnment at a later date.
