Jeffrey Harold McCorkle of Fairview, KS died unexpectedly on January 29, 2024, at the age of 61.

Jeff is survived by mother, Roma McCorkle of Sabetha, KS; his daughters Ashley (Sergio) Martinez, Alanna McCorkle her fiancé Kayleb Shaw both of Hiawatha, KS; his sister, Norma Jean McCorkle of Sabetha, KS, and his 7 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father, Scott McCorkle, brothers, Dennis, Carl and Darrell McCorkle, Sister, Sharon Clelland, & nephews Mark Clelland & Palmer McCorkle.

Jeff was born on February 5, 1962 in Sabetha, KS to Roma & Scott McCorkle. He graduated from Sabetha High School in 1980. After graduation he married, Tammy Leonard (Torkelson) in 1984 while living north of Sabetha near Albany. In 1986, Jeff purchased his family home in Fairview, KS where he lived the rest of his life. Jeff and Tammy welcomed 2 beautiful daughters during their marriage. Ashley was born in 1987 and Alanna McCorkle was born in 1993.

During his school years he was a cook at Midway Café in Sabetha, KS. He started working for Aberle Ford in Sabetha at the age of 16 part time after school and continued working there for close to 30 years. After leaving Aberle Ford he spent a few years working at Agee's Service in Sabetha, KS until he retired.

His children & grandchildren remember him as a kind, loving, goofy, grumpalicious man who was always willing to help anyone with anything.

Jeff was passionate about antique vehicles and often indulged in buying, selling, trading antique cars and trucks. He was a generous individual who loved fishing, gardening, teaching, and experiencing new things with his grandchildren. He was a very skilled mechanic and could fix just about anything.

The funeral is scheduled for 2 P.M. Tuesday, February 6, 2024, at Chapel Oaks Funeral Home, Hiawatha, with Cheryl Mishler officiating. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Jeff's life. Burial will be at a later date to be determined by family in the family cemetery in Athol, KS.

Friends may call after 10 until 5 p.m. Monday. The family will meet with friends one hour prior to services Tuesday.
