Homer Clair Saxton, 94, of rural Horton, Kansas, passed away on Wednesday, March 15, 2023 at his home, with his wife by his side.

He was born on October 25, 1928 on the farm in Atchison County, Kansas the son of Wayland and Mabel Boyle Saxton. Homer served in the U.S. Army/Airforce and received his GED from Atchison County High School in 1948. On May 8, 1953 he married Wanza Wagoner in Leavenworth, Kansas.

Homer was a farmer and worked at Goodyear in Topeka, Kansas until he retired.

Survivors include his wife, Wanza Saxton of the home; son, Wayland (Cyndi) Saxton of rural Horton, Kansas; two daughters, Debbra (David) Snyder of Holton, Kansas and Jo (Wesley) Heller of Bend, Oregon; seven grandchildren.

A graveside service with Military Honors will be at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, March 17, 2023 at the Kennekuk Cemetery south east of Horton, Kansas.
