Scholz Memorial and will be designated as a scholarship fund to be awarded to students in the Atchison County Area who demonstrate qualities that Lori was passionate about.

Lori was born April 2, 1965 in Atchison, KS, the daughter of Lawrence and Margaret (Cooke) Clark. She attended Atchison grade school and graduated from Atchison High School in 1983. Lori attended Johnson County Community College in Kansas City pursuing her dream of being a Registered Dental Hygienist. She started her career in dentistry with Dr. Corrigan in 1986. In 1992 she spent a year with Dr. VanDyne. It was 1993 that she built a family in her profession with Atchison Dental Associates where she worked 29 years. Lori was a member of the St. Ann- Catholic Church where her faith was undeniable to anyone in her life. Lori was the ideal farmer- wife; patient, very patient, ran on little to no sleep, and did everything she could to make her family- lives as easy as possible. Lori spent her life running her kids around from sport to sport, livestock show to livestock show, and everything else to help build their resumes to be successful. Lori lived every minute of her life for her husband and kids. Anywhere her kids were, she wanted to see and be a part of. Lori loved to travel. Being a mean mom was essential for three kids and a husband with luggage among other things, but she had her routines down pat and everything always went smoothly. Her favorite place to be was on a beach with her toes in the sand or chasing lines at Disney. Lori- advice in dental work, raising kids, cattle knowledge, and much more was sought out by many, both near and far. She was always willing to lend a helping hand and offer a listening ear.

Lori married Trent Scholz on April 24, 1993 at St. Benedicts in Atchison, KS. Her legacy of faith, smiling, and hard work will be carried out through her husband Trent, Lancaster, KS, daughter Leah Scholz, Caldwell, ID, daughter Beba (Beau) Vowels, Camp Pendleton, CA, and Augie Scholz, Kansas.

She was preceded in death by her mother-in-law, Janice Kay Scholz.
