Rachael Louise McCoy, 29, was born April 12, 1991 at Stormont Vail Hospital in Topeka, KS. She departed us on her journey to Heaven on Wednesday, April 7, 2021. Rachael was a beloved wife, mother, sister, and daughter.

Rachael graduated from Dexter High School in 2009. She completed most of her schooling in Emmett, KS and Sedan, KS. She continued her education at Kansas State University earning her Daycare Certificate.

Rachael owned and operated McCoy’s Tiny Tot’s Daycare in Sedan before relocating to Jackson County. Recently she had been the Supervisor and Lead Driver for General Public Transportation for the Prairie Band Potawatomi Reservation. She was also an active Certified Nurse Aide for many years.

Rachael marred Justin O. McCoy on February 14, 2012 in Mayetta, KS. They celebrated over 9 years of marriage.

Survivors include her husband, Justin; daughter, Delilah Jane Anderson; son, Wyatt Elliot McCoy; mother and step-father, Mike Armstrong and Vicki Anderson-Armstrong of Mayetta; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Odel and Gail McCoy of Sedan, KS; 2 sisters, Sarah Graham of Holton, KS and Rebecca Anderson of Sedan, KS and maternal grandparents, Judy and Eldon Darnell of Mayetta, KS.

Rachael’s first priority in life were her family, Delilah, Wyatt and Justin. They were her world. She enjoyed the snow and the rain, having animals, planting flowers and visiting friends. She will be deeply missed and loved forever.

 Funeral Service will be 1:00 p.m. Friday, April 16, 2021 at Mercer Funeral Home in Holton. Burial will follow at the Mayetta Cemetery. Rachael will lie in state Wednesday, April 14, 2021 and Thursday, April 15, 2021 until 7:00 p.m. each day.
