Shirley Jean (Lash) Earp, 86 of Horton, Ks. passed away Wednesday, November 25, 2020, at the Hiawatha Community Hospital, following a short battle with COVID.

Shirley was born September 12, 1934 in Saint Joseph, Mo., the daughter of John and Mamie (Reno) Lash. On May 24, 1954 Shirley and Kenny Earp were united in marriage.  They lived and raised their family in Atchison and Horton, Ks.  They were blessed with 66 years of a loving life together.

Survivors include, husband Kenny Earp of Horton, children, Adena (Gordon) Toms Atchison, Ks. Kathy (Don) Camblin of Everest, Steve Earp of Lawrence, Ks., daughter-in-law Carla Earp, Kansas City, brother Kenny (Carol) Lash of Kansas City. Also surviving are 9 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren.

Shirley was preceded in death by her mother and father, John and Mamie Lash, brothers, Curtis, Dick, and Don Lash, sister, Margery Slifer, son, Richard (Rick) Earp and grandson, Ryan Earp.

Shirley had a passion for helping others and spent over 25 years working at the Tri-County Manor doing just that.  She has touched so many lives with her kindness.  She was beautiful, spunky, ornery, caring, and so much more. Shirley was residing at Mission Village Living Center at the time of her passing.  She will forever bring a smile to many, with memories of her kindness, trips to the casino, and her wonderful fried chicken.
