Wanda Lee (Forbes-Dobbs) Tadlock, 79 of Atchison, KS died Monday, Nov. 9, 2020 at the Amberwell Hospital, Atchison, KS.

Funeral services will be 2:00 pm on Monday, Nov. 16th, 2020 at the Becker-Dyer-Stanton Funeral Home with Rev. Robert Ziegler officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00 pm on Monday at the funeral home. The body will be cremated following the service and burial of the cremated remains will be at a later date in the Leavenworth National Cemetery, Leavenworth, KS. Wanda was born on August 3, 1941 in Atchison, KS the daughter of Dick M. and Venita (Blair) Forbes. She was married to Sonny Dobbs and they had three children together. She was later married to Robert (Bob) Tadlock on Jan 5, 1969 and they had one more child. Mr. Tadlock preceded her in death on Dec. 30, 2000. Wanda went back to high school and at the age of 25, with three children, graduated from Atchison High School after three attempts. She worked as a secretary for a short time for Blish-Mize Co, but the majority of her life she was a homemaker and housewife. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, knitting, crossword puzzles, singing, being outdoors, and visiting with everyone. She especially enjoyed her children and grandchildren. Wanda was a former member and Noble Grand of the Rebekah’s Lodge and Order of the Eastern Star; she was a Boy Scout and Girl Scout leader, and had taught tap, ballet, and character dancing. She had attended Trinity Lutheran Church.

Survivors include two daughters, Kathrine Neill, of the home, Maggie Large, Topeka, KS, two sons Wayne Tadlock, Horton, KS and Donnie Tadlock, Littlerock, AR, grandson Roman Neill, of the home, and numerous other grandchildren and great grandchildren. Her parents, husband Robert Tadlock and brother Dean Forbes preceded her in death.
