Rosalia “Rose” Moseley

Rosalia A. “Rose” Moseley, 82, of Holton, formerly of Denison, KS, passed away Tuesday, August 18, 2020 at Stormont Vail Hospital in Topeka. She was born January 27, 1938 in Topeka, KS, the daughter of Francis and Laura (Streeter) Lechman.

Rose was a cook for Suttons Grocery Store and several restaurants in Topeka. She later earned her Certified Nurse’s Aide and Medication Aide; working for Jackson County Nursing Home (now Medicalodge Jackson County) in Holton for many years.

She was a member of Denison Bible Church.

Rose married David Mitchell Moseley on November 17, 1955 in Topeka, KS. They celebrated over 64 years of marriage.

Survivors include 2 sons, David M. Moseley of Hoyt, KS and Matthew M. Moseley of Perry, KS; 3 sisters, Barbara Mauer (Raymond) of Paxico, KS, Vickie Ingersall of Denver, CO and Mary Groves of Topeka, KS; 6 grandchildren, Jordan Moseley, Lauren Johnston, Alicia Johnston, Dawson Moseley, Kaylee Moseley and Mollie Moseley.

She was preceded in death by 2 infant brothers, Francis and Raymond. Lechman.

Due to Rose’s husband David’s unfortunate hospitalization that was caused by a fall, the Memorial Service will be at a later date at the Mercer Funeral Home in Holton.
