Richard Wayne Scott, 25, of Atchison KS died Monday, July 27, 2020 at the University of Kansas Medical Center.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, August 8th, 2020 at the Becker-Dyer-Stanton Funeral Home with Rev. Joseph Hansen officiating. Burial will follow in the Sumner Cemetery, south of Atchison. The family will receive friend from 6:30 to 8:30 pm on Friday, Aug. 7th, at the Becker-Dyer-Stanton Funeral Home. Richard was born on Dec. 12, 1994 in St. Joseph, MO the son of Kenneth “Wayne” and Janis C. (Smith) Scott. He graduated from Atchison High School in 2012. Richard was an artist who loved to do drawings and tattoo work.

Survivors include his parents, Wayne Scott and step mother Tammy Lynn Scott, of Atchison, his mother, Janis Scott, of Atchison, two sisters Nikki Scott, Nortonville, KS and Jackie Scott, Atchison. His grandparents preceded him in death.
