Kenneth Charles Stallbaumer, 92 of Seneca, died on Thursday, April 9, 2020 at Life Care Center of Seneca.

Kenneth “Kenny” was born on August 8, 1927, on a farm near St. Benedict, to Greg and Mary Skoch Stallbaumer. Kenny grew up during the great depression, he attended eight different schools: Corning, Sts. Peter and Paul, Oneida, Baileyville and four country schools. He graduated in 1945 from Baileyville High School. After graduating from high school, he helped his father on the family farm, before joining the U.S. Air Force. Kenneth enlisted on March 22, 1946 at Salina, Kansas. He was stationed in Japan from December 31, 1946 to April 10, 1948. He earned the rank of Sgt on July 1, 1947. Kenneth was honorably discharged on February 28, 1949.

Om March 28, 1951, Kenneth married Mildred Koelzer at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Baileyville. Kenneth and Millie made their home on a farm southeast of Centralia until 1959, when they bought a farm northwest of St. Benedict. There they built a successful farming and dairy operation.

Retiring in 1991, they built a new home in Seneca. Once becoming accustom to his new city life in Seneca, Kenneth started working on computers and taught himself to build web-pages. For numerous years, he managed web-pages for several business in the area.

Kenneth was a member of St. Mary’s church, St. Benedict, where he served on the Parish Council. He was a former member of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Seneca. He was a member of the Earl W. Taylor Post 21 of the American Legion, Veterans of Foreign War Post #7458 and the Knights of Columbus Council 1769 in Seneca. Kenneth also served on the Nemaha RWD #3 Board of Directors and Nemaha County Historical Society.

Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents, Greg on August 22, 1994 and Mary on October 25, 1993; and a brother, Richard Stallbaumer on December 2, 1981.

Survivors are his children, Carol (Marvin) Rilinger of Waynesboro, Virginia, Gerald (Janet) Stallbaumer of Seneca, John (Vicki) Stallbaumer of Ozawkie, Kansas, Randall (Susan) Stallbaumer of Seneca and Lynn (Teresa) Stallbaumer of Sabetha; his siblings, Gervase Stallbaumer, Mary Ann Rottinghaus, Merlin Stallbaumer; 19 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Kenneth will lie in state on Easter Sunday for public viewing and to sign the book; the family will not be present that day.

Mass of Christian Burial will be PRIVATE on Monday, April 13, 2020 at 10:30 A.M.; but it will be livestreamed thru Sts. Peter and Paul Church website, http://youtu.be/aF-Q1Fr6MxQ .

Burial will be in Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church cemetery, with military honors.
