Lyle Francis Gibson, 78, of Horton, Kansas, passed away on Friday, September 6, 2019 at the St. Francis Hospital in Topeka, Kansas.

He was born on October 3, 1940 in Marietta, Kansas the son of Elmer and Hazel Suggett Gibson.  After graduating from high school Lyle served in the U.S. Army during Vietnam. After his enlistment Lyle worked for Meyer Lumber in Summerfield, Kansas prior to moving to Horton where he managed Meyer Lumber for 13 years in Horton, Kansas. He then worked for Stan's gas station prior to going into the extermination business. Lyle worked in the pest control business for Hinkle, Rainey, L& L and then establishing Lyle's Pest Control. Lyle loved hunting, trapping and fishing. He married Sheila Bolejack in Marysville, Kansas they later were divorced.

He is survived by his loving children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Lyle was preceded in death by his parents, a infant brother, 3 sisters, Eula, Audrey and Lila and a brother, Harold.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 A.M. on Tuesday, September 10, 2019 at the Dishon-Maple-Chaney Mortuary in Horton where the family will greet friends on Monday evening from 6:30 to 7:30 P.M.
