Milton "Dale" Jacobs

Milton "Dale" Jacobs, 87 of Horton, Kansas, passed away on Saturday, August 31, 2019 at the Hiawatha Community Hospital.

He was born on March 11, 1932 in Mayetta, Kansas the son of Clarence and Nora Marshall Jacobs.

Dale was a hard worker and raised a family of four children. He always worked as a mechanic and a welder. He loved playing blue grass and old country music, on any of his many musical instruments. Dale also enjoyed working out of his backyard as a mechanic, fixing lawn mowers and such. He loved his family and enjoyed visiting and getting to know people.

Survivors include his wife, Pauline (Everson) Jacobs; a daughter, Susan Willey of Sabetha, Kansas; three sons, Alden Jacobs of Horton, Kansas, Richard Jacobs of Republic, Kansas and Terry Jacobs of White Cloud, Kansas; brother, Floyd Jacobs of Muscotah, Kansas; three sisters, Etta Mae Matthias of Horton, Kansas, June Talbot of  Des Moines, Iowa and Margaret Dodge of Everest, Kansas; eight grandchildren, Billie Jacobs, Willie Jacobs, Ashelgh Jacobs, Tonya Voigt, Cody Jacobs, Dustin Willey, Shelby Willey and Tyler Nicholas and numerous great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter, Nora Marie Jacobs, sister, Martha Butterfield and brother, Donald Jacobs.

A celebration of Dale's Life will be held at the Muscotah Community Building at 1:00 P.M. on Saturday, September 7, 2019. Inurnment will be at the Muscotah Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Dale Jacobs memorial fund to be designated later and may be sent in care of the Dishon-Maple-Chaney Mortuary in Horton, Kansas.
