Lola Genevieve (Davis) Hatfield, 97 of Pawnee City, Nebraska passed away on Thursday, April 11, 2019 at the Pawnee County Hospital.  She was born on May 23, 1921 to Melvin and Ollie (Miner) Davis in Pawnee City, Nebraska.

Lola was raised around the Pawnee City area and attended elementary school.  Lola graduated from Pawnee City High School in 1939.

On November 16, 1941 Lola married Edward Earl Hatfield, Sr. in Abilene, Kansas.  To this union 3 children were born, Charlie, Ed and Judy.

After Edward and Lola were married they traveled a lot due to Edward being in the Military.  After Edward retired they moved back to Pawnee City in 1963.  She worked at the Drive in, S&G store, A.B. Edie, and then worked for H& H Auto until she retired.

Lola was a member of the United Methodist Church in Pawnee City for many years.  She was also a member oft the VFW Auxiliary.

Lola liked to crochet, make quilts, work puzzles and cook.  Lola loved working in the kitchen and making something new for her family and friends. She was also famous for her Chocolate Chip cookies. 

She was preceded in death by her parents Melvin and Ollie Davis, husband Edward, brothers, Wayne Davis, Dean Davis, Clarence Davis, Elton Davis, sisters, Berniece Hartman, Grace Harris, Betty Veeder.

Lola is survived by her children, Judy (Ron) Habegger of Pawnee City, NE, Edward (Cindy) Hatfield of Sebastian, Fl, Charlie Hatfield of Pawnee City, NE, nine grandchildren, five great grandchildren, brothers, Marvin Davis of Iowa, Willis Davis of Woodbine, IA, Keith Davis of Woodbine, IA, Larry Davis of Woodbine, IA, sister, Alice Davis of Dunlap, IA, several nieces, nephews and friends.

Services 10:00 a.m., Thursday, April 18, 2019 at the United Methodist Church, Pawnee City, Nebraska. Officiating Reverend Sherry Sklenar and Reverend Dale Schoening Visitation on Wednesday, April 17, 2019 from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. with family greeting friends from 6-8 p.m. at Wherry Mortuary,919 G Street, Pawnee City, Nebraska.  Interment at the Pawnee City Cemetery.
