Judy Ann Hayes, 73, of Holton, KS, passed away Sunday, April 7, 2019 at Midland Hospice House in Topeka. Judy was born March 9, 1946 in Concordia, KS, the daughter of Vern and Wilma Garlock.

 Judy attended Mankato High School. She lived in the Holton community since 1980 and previously in St. Mary’s. Judy was a homemaker and housewife. She was a member of the Assembly of Yahweh in Rocheport, MO.

Judy married Edwin Dean Hayes on November 24, 1975 in Formosa, KS. They celebrated 42 years of marriage.

Survivors include her husband, Edwin of the home; a daughter, Lora J. Hayes-Albert (Jeremy) of Tonganoxie, KS; 5 sisters, Darlene Garst of Mankato, KS, Shirley Elsner of WI, Ruth Mcentee of KS, Janie Sheets of FL and Beth Riley of FL; a brother, Wendell Garlock of NE and 3 grandchildren, Allyson, Caedmon and Jaxon.

 She was preceded in death by her 2 sons, Erwin and Gary Hayes on January 29, 2004 (from a tragic house fire) and 7 siblings.

 Funeral Services will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, April 12, 2019 at the Mercer Funeral Home in Holton. Burial will follow in the Buck’s Grove Cemetery.
