Seneca, KS

Stanley Lee Watters, 55, of Seneca died on Wednesday, December 19, 2018 at Stormont Vail Hospital in Topeka with Lynn and Rose by his side.

Stanley was born at the Axtell Kansas Hospital on September 20, 1964 to Donald and Helen Hittle Watters. He was raised in the Axtell Community and attended Axtell Grade School until the age of 12.  The family moved around during his teenage years.  He worked as a hired man; doing farm work and working for dairymen.  Later he worked for a bridge crew building creek bridges; and he also traveled with a company who installed grain bins.

Stanley loved to learn new skill sets; so, he worked for Vermillion Grain and learned how to drive a Big Wheel Tractor, Semi-Trucks and Bulldozers. Later he worked building custom doors, first for Koch and Company for seven years; before transferring to Industrial Mill Works for ten years.  He had to quit working due to his health; diabetes caused him to lose his leg.

To occupy his time, he would rebuild electronics.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by sisters Hilda Hoover, Marysville, Wanita Slack of Newborn, North Carolina, Lynn (Corey) Ricker of Hanover and Rose (Bob) Gilbert of Meridian and many nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held at Lauer Funeral Home on Saturday, December 22nd from 9:30-10:30 AM; a Funeral Service will be held directly after the visitation at 10:30AM.  Burial will be in the Edinborough Cemetery in Frankfort, Kansas.
