Elaine K. Sack Feldkamp, age 86, of Baileyville passed away on November 11, 2018 at Life Care Center of Seneca.  

Elaine was born April 16, 1932 on a farm north of Seneca, Kansas.  The youngest child of Bernard and Anna Waller Sack.

Elaine attended Rock Country School north of Seneca and graduated from the 8th grade.  She graduated from St. Peter and Paul High School in 1950.  After high school, she went to Des Moines, Iowa to help her sister Helen, who had polio. Later Elaine went to work for Farmers Insurance Group for a few years in Kansas City before getting married.

On November 15, 1954 she married Richard Feldkamp in St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Seneca, Kansas.  They lived on the Feldkamp home place east of Baileyville.  

Her favorite activities were quilting, crocheting and spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

She was a member of Sacred Heart Parish and Alter Society, where she served as an officer, church quilter, and lead the rosary.  She also belonged to the Oblate of Saint Benedict and the neighborhood card club.

Elaine was proceeded in death by her parents, her brothers, John, Winifred, Elmer; and sisters, Mary, Winifred Heinen, Helen Hartman and Irene Devine.

She is survived by her husband, Richard of 63 years (their 64th wedding anniversary would have been Thursday); their three children, Charlene of Elizabeth, Colorado, Maurice (Nancy) of Baileyville and Leon of Seneca; three grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and one sister, Margaret Walruff of Lee Summit, Missouri.

Rosaries will be prayed at 2 and 7 P.M. Thursday, November 15, 2018 at Lauer Funeral Home in Seneca. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 AM Friday, November 16th at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Baileyville.  Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Memorials can be given in Elaine’s memory to Sacred Heart Cemetery, and sent in care of the family.
