Rev. Sean P. Roper Kelley, 46, Atchison, Kansas died Wednesday, November 7, 2018 at Mosaic Life Care in St. Joseph.

Funeral services will be Monday, November 12, 2018 at 2:00 P.M. at Ebenezer Baptist Church with Rev. Paul Kelley officiating. Visitation with the family will be Monday from 1:00 until 2:00 P.M. at the Church. Interment will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery. Online condolences may be left at www.arensbergpruett.com. Sean was born February 10, 1972 in Palm Springs, California the son of Jesse and Gladys Parris Roper. Sean was later adopted and raised by Rev. Michael Kelley. He attended schools in Palm Springs and then the San Diego California Technical College and then the Mo-Kan Bible College in St. Joseph, Missouri and was ordained as minister.

Sean was a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church where he served as Associate Minister, Sunday School Superintendent and music minister.

He and Sarah R. Miller were united in marriage on December 16, 2010 in Atchison, Kansas.

Survivors include his wife, Sarah of the home in Atchison, KS; his parents, Rev. Michael and Gladys Kelley, Atchison, KS; four sons, Sean D. Kelley, San Diego, CA; Alexander S. Kelley, Atchison, KS; Joseph B. Roper Kelley, Atchison, KS; Jesse M. Roper Kelley, Atchison, KS; a brother, Michael E. (Marisa) Kelley, Dalton, GA; a sister, Zina F. Jenkins, Kansas City, KS; a step-sister, Cynthia Ware, Kansas City, KS;

He was preceded in death by a sister, Abbygail Kelley.
