Thomas E. Reichart, 51, Basehor, formerly of Valley Falls, died Saturday, Sept. 29, 2018, at Methodist Hospital in Omaha, NE.

He was born Feb. 27, 1967, at Winchester, the son of Galen E. and Joan J. Radina Reichart. He graduated from Valley Falls High School in 1985 and had attended Topeka Technical College in Topeka.  

Tom was a Journeyman Wireman and a member of Local 226 of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers. He was a member of the Valley Falls United Methodist Church.

Tom enjoyed spending time with his three grandsons and his IBEW brothers and sisters.

He married Dorothy “Dot” Brading, March 12, 1994, at Valley Falls. She survives of the home.

Other survivors include his daughter, Shannon Boer; his three grandsons, Carter, Ethan and Brody; his parents, Galen and Joan Reichart, Tonganoxie; two brothers, William H. Reichart, Topeka, and James D. Reichart, Houston, TX;  and three sisters, Teresa Lynn Vernon, Danette Jo Reichart, and Margaret Ann Reichart, all of Tonganoxie.

The Memorial Service will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday, October 5, 2018, at the Valley Falls United Methodist Church.  Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Thursday, at Mercer Funeral Home in Valley Falls.
