David Bruce Low, 76, Atchison, KS, passed away Friday, August 24, 2018 at his home surrounded by his family.

Funeral service will be 10:30 AM, Saturday, September 1, 2018 at the Becker-Dyer-Stanton Funeral home, with Rev. Jim Cormode officiating.  Burial will follow at Sunset Memory Gardens Cemetery, Atchison, KS.  Family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Friday, August 31, 2018, at the funeral home.  Memorials are suggested to Atchison County Fair Board or Sunset Memory Gardens Cemetery for a grave location kiosk and may be sent in care of the funeral home.  Online condolences may be left atwww.beckerdyer.com.

Bruce was born January 13, 1942 in Atchison, KS, the son of John Stanley and Florence Hazel (Waters) Low.  He worked for LFM-Rockwell-Atchison Casting-Bradken for forty-seven years as a scheduler and foreman.  Bruce was a 4-H leader and founded the Meadowlark 4-H club; he was a hunting and safety Master Instructor.   Bruce was also a member of the Sportsman Club of Atchison, Ducks Unlimited, and Boy Scouts growing up.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing and woodworking.

Bruce married Florence Marie “Cookie” Navinsky on August 26, 1964 at the Corpus Christi Church, she survives of the home.  Additional survivors include a son David and Jennifer Reams Low, Effingham, KS, three daughters, Janice and Donald Reiss, Cummings, KS, Cheryl and Jim Denholm, Tonganoxie, KS, Rhonda and Brian Ramirez, Atchison, KS, two brothers Norman and Jackie Low, Atchison, KS, Neal and Yoshie Low, CA,  a sister, Donna and Harlan Osborn, Faucett, MO,   eleven grandchildren, three great grandchildren, eight step great grandchildren and one step great great grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his parent’s, two brothers Robert Low and Stanley Low and two grandchildren, Adam Reiss and Elizabeth Ramirez.
