Lorene Bell Kiefer, 89 of Newton, Kansas, passed away on Friday, August 24, 2018 at the Newton Medical Center in Newton, Kansas.

She was born on October 4, 1928 in Muscotah, Kansas the daughter of Charles and Rosella Shivers Waters.

Lorene was a homemaker and enjoyed fishing and camping. On February 12, 1944 she married Richard C. Kiefer in Holton, Kansas. He preceded her in death on June 10, 1999.

Survivors include two sons, Charles (Candy) Kiefer of Haysville, Kansas and Kenneth Kiefer of Sedgwick, Kansas; three grandchildren; four great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
