Dorothy C. Turner, 96, of Atchison, Kansas died Saturday, August 4, 2018 at the Atchison Medicalodge Nursing Center.

A private family inurnment will be held at Sunset Memory Gardens Cemetery.  The Arensberg-Pruett Funeral Home has been entrusted with the final arrangements.  Memorial contributions are suggested to the First Christian Church Youth Group Mission Trip and may be left in care of the funeral home. Dorothy was born November 8, 1921 in Huron, Kansas the daughter of William Ira and Viola Tyler Agee.  She attended Atchison public schools graduating from Atchison High School in 1938.

She and Alert F. Turner were united in marriage on September 24, 1940 at the First Christian Church in Atchison.

Dorothy served in clerical work as a secretary for the Deer Creek Creamery in Atchison and then moved to Kansas City where she worked for Hallmark Cards, later returning to Atchison as a secretary for R. H. “Bud” Widick until becoming employed with Commerce Acceptance Company and then for Rockwell International Company where she retired in 1982.

She was a member of the First Christian Church in Atchison.

Survivors include a son, Albert Linn (Sandy) Turner, Liberty, MO; a daughter Sharon Thomas, Atchison, KS; a brother Orville Agee, Overland Park, KS; three grandchildren; six great grandchildren and seven great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Albert F. Turner; a grandson, Kevin L. Mair; sisters, Opal Kurtz, Virginia Gilmore, Catheline Neumann and a brother, Virgil Agee.
