Peggy Jean (Trower) Blakley, 58, Atchison, Kansas died Saturday, June 9, 2018 at the home of her son, with her loving family at her side.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, June 13, 2018 at 11:00 A.M. at Faith Bible Fellowship Church with Pastor Stephen Lucas officiating.  Interment will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery.  Visitation with the family will be Tuesday, June 12, 2018 at Arensberg-Pruett Funeral Home from 6:00 until 7:30 P.M.   Memorial contributions are suggested to Faith Bible Fellowship Church and may be left in care of the funeral home.  Online condolences may be left at www.arensbergpruett.com.

Peggy was born January 28, 1960 in Winchester, Kansas the daughter of Earl and Delta Katheryn Sissel Trower.  She attended Franklin Elementary School, Atchison High School and Atchison County Community High School in Effingham, Kansas.

She and David Blakley were united in marriage on November 27, 1976, and later divorced.

Peggy was a Certified Nurse’s Aide and served for many years in nursing homes and private home duty nursing assistance to many patients.

She was very devoted to her religious beliefs and practiced her faith at Faith Bible Fellowship Church in Atchison.  In her spare time she enjoyed camping, shopping, tending her flowers, conversing with her friends, her love of music K-LOVE, riding horses and especially enjoyed the many treasured memories of family get-togethers and bar-b-ques.

Peggy leaves to cherish her memory a son, Jason (Cathy) Blakley, Atchison, KS; a daughter, Ashley Blakley, Lawrence, KS; a sister, Charlene (Earl) Brown, Atchison, KS and five grandchildren, Michael Hess, Brenden Blakley, Nathan Blakley, Jaelynn Raigh and Chandler Elkins.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Earl and Kate Trower and a sister, Candice Ann “Candy” Trower.
