Marjean Ann Ryland, 77, of Hiawatha, KS died Thursday, April 26, 2018, at the Maple Heights Nursing Home in Hiawatha, KS.

She was born August 18, 1940, in Axtell, KS, the daughter of Weir and Mable Irwin Neff. Marjean graduated with her LPN from Kaw- Valley Technical School in 1985. Her nursing career included working for Dr. Yulich, Fountain Villa, and the Sabetha Manor.

She married Donald Ryland on May 6, 1966 in Atchison, KS. He survives of the home. Other survivors include their children Ronnie (Lisa) Huddleston and Edwin (Sherry) Huddleston of Falls City NE; Beverly (Steve) Chambers of Topeka, KS; Dean Huddleston of Junction City, KS; Amanda (Darren) Allen of Oneida, KS; and Donna Green of Hiawatha, KS; a brother, Larry Neff of Colorado Springs, CO; 21 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and a sister, Neva Roudybush.

Funeral services are planned for 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, May 2, 2018, at Chapel Oaks Funeral Home in Hiawatha with Pastor Shane Spangler officiating. Interment to follow at the Isley Cemetery. Friends may call after 10 a.m. Tuesday where the family will receive friends from 6:30 p.m.-8 p.m. Memorials are suggested to the Fairview American Legion Auxillary, and may be sent in care of the funeral home, 124 S. 7th St. Hiawatha, KS 66434.
