Marvin D. Caspers, age 85 of Auburn, passed away Sunday, April 22, 2018, at Nemaha County Hospital in Auburn.

He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Blanche; son Mark; daughter Arlis (Mike) Scanlan; grandchildren Benjamin, Mitchell, Kathryn, and Claire Scanlan; brother Eugene (Elsie) Caspers; brothers-in-law Fred (Marcia) Gauchat and Ed Gauchat; many nieces, nephews, grandnieces, and grandnephews. Marvin was someone who really knew how to build relationships with people. He is survived by friends all over Southeast Nebraska, across Nebraska, and many other states.

A funeral service will be Saturday, April 28, 11:00 a.m. at St. John Lutheran (Stone) Church near Auburn. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with graveside military honors provided by American Legion Post #23 of Auburn. Visitation will be at the funeral home Friday 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., with family greeting friends 5:30 to 7:30. Masonic Funeral Rites will begin at 7:30 p.m.
