Michael Lee Roll 76, of Parkville, Missouri passed away Thursday, April 19, 2018 at his home in Parkville, Missouri.

Michael was born in Denver, Colorado on June 25, 1941 the son of Brita Marie Weir. He was a mechanic at TWA Airlines for over 40 yrs. and American Airlines for 5 yrs., retiring in 2008. He graduated from Horton High School in 1959. Michael’s hobbies included fishing, spending time with loved ones, visiting with friends and selling/buying merchandise at flea markets.

Michael married Judy Bronson at the Horton Christian Church in 1963. They moved to Long Beach, California, where he was stationed in the US Navy. He served in the Navy for 6.5 yrs., and was stationed in Japan, Hawaii, and California. Michael was a member of the American Legion in White Cloud, KS. He attended the United Methodist Church in Horton, where he grew up, and was a Parkville resident for over 40 years.

Michael was preceded in death by his mother, Brita Marie Weir, stepfather, Ernie Clyde Weir, and a sister, Carol Weir.

Survivors include his wife, Judy Roll, son, Terry Roll, 3 nephews, Justin Weir, Jason Weir, Preston Thornton, brother in law, Paul Thornton, 2 granddaughters, 1 grandson, 2 great nieces, 1 great nephew, 1 great great niece, and a great great nephew.

Graveside services will be at 2:00 pm on Wednesday April 25, 2018 at the Horton City Cemetery in Horton, Kansas. Visitation will be 4:00 – 6:00 pm Tuesday at Meyers Northland Funeral Chapel in Parkville, Mo. A special message may be sent to the family at www.dishon-maple-chaney.com
