Robert Smith, 71, of Troy, Kansas died Saturday, March 17, 2018 at a Kansas City, Kansas hospital.

Bob was born on April 21, 1946 in rural Troy, Kansas to Bert and Vivian (Degolyer) Smith.  He was a lifelong resident of Troy.  Bob worked for Nestle’s in St. Joseph and retired from Gray Manufacturing in 2012.

He was a member of the Troy Christian Church, Doniphan County Historical Society and served in the Troy National Guard all of Troy, Kansas

Bob married Debbie Clary on April 13, 1969 in Troy.  She survives of the home. 

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Mark Smith.

        his 2 sons; Shawn Smith and Rustin (Marcola) Smith both of Kansas City, Missouri

             4 grandchildren; Kamryn, Jacob, Rock and Jet Smith

       Brothers; Roger (Carol) Smith of St. Joseph, Missouri

            Marvin “Corky”(Carol) Smith  and George (Nancy)  Smith both of Troy

                      Numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

FUNERAL:  Wednesday, March 21, 2018 – 10:30 A.M.
At:  Troy Christian Church in Troy, Kansas
Burial: Iola Cemetery south of Sparks, Kansas where there will be a flag folding ceremony under the auspices of the Troy American Legion Post #55
Visitation: family will receive friends Tuesday evening 6-8 at the church.
Memorials: either the Troy Ambulance Fund or Doniphan County Historical Society
