Due to the forecast for inclement weather, the funeral service for Curtis Lash, Sr., of McLouth, has been postponed from Thursday morning, February 22 to Friday afternoon February 23 at 2:00 at the Barnett Family Funeral Home, Oskaloosa.

Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.

 

Curtis Dean Lash, Sr., 89, of McLouth, died Monday, February 19, 2018 at his home.

He was born October 7, 1928 in St. Joseph, MO, the son John Ralph and Mamie Rosella Reno Lash. He was a 1946 graduate of Atchison High School and attended Plumbing Trade School Central for a year of training. He was a U.S. Army Veteran of WWII, serving 1946 to 1947.  Curtis was the co-owner and operator of Jayhawk Radiator and Jayhawk/Mid America Radiator in Kansas City, KS, retiring in 1994, but remained involved in the business until his death. He attended McLouth First Baptist Church, and  was an avid golfer.

He was married to Peggy Lee Yeager on September 27, 1953 in Kansas City, KS, she survives at the home. He is also survived by two sons, Curtis (Phyllis) Lash, Jr., McLouth, Michael Lee (Vickie) Lash, McLouth, one daughter, Deborah Ann Lash, McLouth, one brother, Kenneth Lash, Leawood, two sister, Margery Slifer, Eugene OR, Shirley Earp, Horton, 13 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, and four great-great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one son, Robert Lash and two brothers, Don Lash and Richard Lash.

Funeral Services at 11:00 AM, Thursday at Barnett Family Funeral Home, Oskaloosa. Visitation will be from 10:00 until service time at the Funeral Home.
