Anne M. Hammond, 87, of Atchison, Kansas died Sunday, January 14, 2018 at Mosaic Life Care, St. Joseph, Missouri.

Funeral services will be Saturday, January 20, 2018 at 2:00 P.M. at Atchison United Methodist Church with Rev. Nancy J Kolhoff officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Vernon Cemetery.

Visitation with the family will be from 1:00 until 2:00 P.M. Saturday, January 20th at the church. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Atchison United Methodist Church and may be left in care of the Arensberg-Pruett Funeral Home with whom care has been entrusted. Anne was born July 22, 1930 in Atchison, Kansas the daughter of Francis O. and May E. Kincaid. She attended elementary school in Atchison and was a graduate of Benton High School in St. Joseph, Missouri.

She and Marvin D. Hammond were united in marriage on June 29, 1952 at the Atchison United Methodist Church. Mr. Hammond preceded her in death on February 24, 2013.

Anne was a member of Atchison United Methodist Church, where she formerly served as a member of the church choir and the church circle. She was also a former member of the Mother Singers of Atchison. In her spare time she enjoyed reading and singing.

Anne is survived by her two daughters, Maryann Hammond, Atchison, KS; Susie (Steve) Chatman, Marysville, WA; and two grandsons.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin; a son, Roger Hammond; two sisters, Mildred Hudson and Lois Noll and a brother, Robert Kincaid.
