Beverly “Bev” Jane Enneking Fowler McClary, 75, of Centralia, Kansas died on December 11, 2017, at KU Medical Center in Kansas City; after complications of cancer.

She was born on April 10, 1942, in Seneca, Kansas, to Frank J. and Agnes M. Otting Enneking. The family lived three miles east of Seneca, and she attended Sts. Peter & Paul School, graduating in 1960. She helped on the family farm for a year before she got married.

On April 8, 1961 Bev married Ralph O. Fowler at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Seneca. The couple was married 10 years before his death on December 5, 1971. On April 26, 1975 Bev married Forrest McClary at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Seneca. Forrest passed away on February 25, 2009.

In 1970, Ralph and Bev moved to Centralia, and Bev stated working at the D&L Drive-In for a few years until she married Forrest. After her kids were raised and out of school she started to work for the Centralia School District as a teacher’s aide, retiring after 20 years.

She was a member of Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Seneca.

Bev enjoyed cooking and baking.  She appreciated a good game of cards and liked throwing a party. She often took trips to the casino.  The most important thing in her life was her family above all. She also cherished her four-legged friends, Fletcher Bella, Brandi, Homer, Allie and Bandit.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Ralph Fowler; her second husband, Forrest McClary; an infant son, David Wayne Fowler on July 8, 1969; parents, Frank J. Enneking on September 6, 1970 and Agnes M. Otting Enneking on April 2, 1991; a brother, Gene on July 3, 2005; and a sister, Norman Melvin on March 6, 2014.

Survivors are a son, Daniel Fowler of Overland Park, Kansas; twin daughters, Pamela Fowler and Patricia Fowler both of Overland Park, Kansas; step children, Kent (Janet Noll) McClary of Elkhorn, Nebraska, Lonn J. McClary of Centralia and Krystal (Dan Rankin) Baldwin of Manhattan; a brother, James Enneking of  Seneca; two sisters, Virginia Huber of Seneca and Lavona Engelken of Topeka; grandchildren, Heidi Fowler and Josh Fowler both of Overland Park, Kansas, Landon (Elizabeth) McClary of Pittsburg, Kansas, Lincoln (Kasey) McClary of Centralia and Laramie McClary of Meade, Kansas; and nieces and nephews.

A rosary will be prayed at 2 PM on Friday and a visitation will be from 6 to 7:30 PM on Friday, December 15, 2017 at Lauer Funeral Home in Seneca.

Mass of Christian burial will be 10 AM Saturday, December 16, 2017 at Sts. Peter & Paul Church in Seneca. Burial will be in the church cemetery, next to her first husband Ralph and her son David.

Memorials are to be given in Bev’s memory to  Sts. Peter and Paul Church, and sent in care of the family.
