Patricia Elaine "So Se T" Negonsott

Patricia Elaine "So Se T" Negonsott, 63, of Horton, Kansas, passed away on November 21, 2017 at the St. Francis Hospital in Topeka, Kansas.

She was born on March 17, 1954 in Pawnee, Oklahoma, daughter of Milton and Evelyn (Wahwassuck) Negonsott.

Patricia worked for the Indian Action Team. She was CNA at various healthcare facilities around Northeast Kansas. Most recently, Patricia was a Para-professional at Kickapoo Nation School for more than 30 years. Patricia was a proud member of the Kickapoo Tribe in Kansas, a lifelong member of the Drum Religion, and one of the youngest members to serve on the Kickapoo Tribal Council.

Patricia was an advocate for tribal issues and dedicated to our way of life by instilling traditional values in her family.

Survivors include a daughter, Tonya (Rich) Negonsott-Rodvelt of Horton, Kansas; 2 sisters, Janet Negonsott and Tammy Wahwassuck both of Horton, Kansas; 1 brother, Bill Negonsott of Horton, Kansas; 3 grandchildren, Wapa Rodvelt, Teagan Rodvelt and Pemme Negonsott; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, 2 brothers, Emery and John Negonsott, 3 sisters, Mary Ann Blacksmith, Mabel "Osh" Dupuis and Norene Negonsott, and a nephew, Greg Negonsott.

Drum services will be at 5:30 P.M. on Thursday, November 23, 2017 at the Kickapoo Community Building on the Kickapoo Reservation. Burial will be early Friday morning at the Negonsott Cemetery on the Kickapoo Reservation.
