Mary Louise Krainbill, 99, of Bern, Kansas died on Tuesday, November 13, 2017 at her home.

Mary Louise was born on August 22, 1918 in Hanover, Kansas to Eva and Joseph Schuessler. She graduated from Seneca High School with the class of 1936; she later attended Clarks Business School and a meteorological school.

She married Victor M. Krainbill at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Topeka, on January 12, 1944. The couple celebrated 61 years of marriage before Vic’s death on February 11, 2005. Mary Louise was a homemaker. She was a member of St. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Seneca, she was a 4-H leader and belonged to the Extension Home Improvement Club. She was an avid Bridge player, playing with various clubs in Bern and the surrounding communities. She enjoyed trips to the Casino and visiting with her many friends.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Francis and a sister, Lavonne.

Mary Louise is survived by her sons, Victor L. (Ronda) Krainbill of Bern and Milton (Lila) of Holton; 7 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.

A Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 P.M. on Thursday, November 16, 2017 at the Lauer Funeral Home in Seneca. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 A.M. on Friday, November 17, 2017 at Sts. Peter and Paul’s Catholic Church in Seneca. Burial will be next to her husband, Victor in the Bern City Cemetery.

Memorial are for the Bern Community Center.
