Anna "Nadine" Smith, 78, of Whiting, Kansas, passed away on Tuesday, October 31, 2017 at the Medical Lodge in Holton, Kansas.

She was born on May 12, 1939 in Arlington, Texas, the daughter of Arndt and Opal Scheid Schumann. Nadine graduated from Topeka High School. After high school she became a homemaker, farm wife, devoted grandmother and loved attending their sporting events. She was a member of the St. Leo's Catholic Church in Horton, Kansas.

On June 29, 1957 she married Daryl Smith at St. Leo's Catholic Church. He survives of the home, Whiting, Kansas. Other survivors include a daughter, Sheryl (Mark) Callison of Holton, Kansas; four sons, Terry (Gena) Smith of Horton, Kansas, Garry (Kerri) Smith of Soldier, Kansas, Jerry Smith of Whiting, Kansas and Perry (Sarah) Smith of Wetmore, Kansas; brother, Donald Schumann of Corona, California; 13 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and a grandson, Curtis Smith.

A rosary will be recited at 6:00 P.M. on Sunday, November 5, 2017 at the Dishon-Maple-Chaney Mortuary in Horton, Kansas with visitation to follow.

Funeral Mass will be at 10:30 A.M. on Monday, November 6, 2017 at the St. Leo's Catholic Church in Horton, Kansas. Burial will be at the St. Leo's Cemetery.
