Joan Faye Peters, 82 of Winchester, died Friday, August 18, 2017 at F.W. Huston Hospital in Winchester.  

Mrs. Peters was born October 18, 1934 in Winchester, the daughter of Arthur Franklin and Martha Ann Stephenson Clark. She was Valedictorian and a 1952 graduate of Winchester High School .

She served many years as a Secretary at Jefferson County North High School in Winchester, retiring in the 1980's.

She was a member of the Winchester Christian Church and was a 52 year member of the Order of Eastern Star Chapter # 62 of Oskaloosa and Chapter #399 in Meriden.

She married Billy Ray Peters on April 20, 1956 in Winchester, he preceded her in death on June 18, 2010.

She is survived by one son, Larry Peters, Garden City, one daughter, Patricia League, Lee’s Summit, MO, 11 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by two sisters and one brother.

Services at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, at the Winchester Christian Church. Burial at Reformed Presbyterian Cemetery, Winchester. Visitation with family, 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, before Service at Church.
