Easton Vonderschmidt, 16, of Rulo, NE, passed away July 17, 2017 at Rulo. He was born January 9, 2001 at Lincoln, NE to Chance and Jamie (Liberty) Vonderschmidt.

Easton was a Junior at Sacred Heart High School and was a member of the class of 2019. He was employed by Dorothy Towle at Towle Realty and Classic 8 Club at Falls City. While at Sacred Heart he was a member of the track, basketball and football teams, he made honor roll every year since 7th grade, he especially loved winning the 2016 State Football Championship. He was a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, youth group, helping hands, publications, coached summer rec sports, bible school helper, volunteer for many SNC activities, backpack program and was elected Class Treasurer for his junior year. He was an avid Royals, Chiefs and Husker fan and enjoyed 4-wheeling. He took his big brother duties seriously and loved his siblings, taking part in their lives any time he could.

Easton is survived by his parents, Chance and Jamie of Rulo, sister, Erison and Ellery, brother, Elin all of Rulo, grandparents, Gary & Cathy Liberty of Falls City, Mark & Jean Hodge of Falls City, Kevin & Connie Vonderschmidt of Rulo, great-grandparents, Nellie Liberty of Platte City, MO, Helen Taft of Falls City, Carlota Hodge of Falls City, Ray & Bev Koopman of Falls City, Elden & Madalyne Vonderschmidt of Falls City, great-great-grandmother, Margaret Zentner of Falls City, girlfriend, Olivia Welch of Nebraska City, NE, godparents, Felicia Bachman and Todd Liberty, many aunts, uncles and cousins.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, July 22, 2017 at 10:00 AM at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church with Father Thomas Dunavan as the presiding priest. Interment will be in Falls City Catholic Cemetery.

A Parish Rosary will be recited on Friday at 7:00 PM at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, with family receiving friends following the rosary at O’Connor Hall.

In lieu of flowers the family prefers memorials be made to family choice for later designation.
