Betty Jo Pilcher, 62, Atchison, Kansas died Wednesday, May 24, 2017 at University of Kansas Medical Center, Kansas City, Kansas.

Celebration of Life Services will be Wednesday, May 31, 2017 at 7:00 P.M. at Arensberg-Pruett Funeral Home with Sister Barb Conroy officiating. Interment of the cremated remains will be at a later date in Oak Hill Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be Wednesday, May 31st from 6:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Arensberg-Pruett Funeral Home to assist with the final expenses or to the Liver Foundation and may be left in care of the funeral home. Betty Jo was born June 21, 1954 in Atchison, Kansas the daughter of Robert and Bonnie Hembrow Liggett. She attended Atchison elementary Schools, graduating from Atchison High School in 1972.

Betty Jo was employed for over twenty two years as a sewing machine operator at Saunders Manufacturing Company in Atchison.

In her free time she enjoyed reading, sewing, crocheting, playing the lottery and trying to win and watching and tending to her beloved animals. Betty Jo especially enjoyed spending quality time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Survivors include, two daughters Calley (Porter) Hampton, Atchison, KS; Missy Pilcher, Atchison, KS; four sisters, Vickie Bryant, Conyers, GA; Ann (Mike) Brentano, Overland Park, KS; Linda (Stan) Alexander, McLouth, KS; Merry Beth (Jim) Babcock, Agency, MO; three brothers, Robert (Lenora) Liggett, Kansas City, MO; Darrell (Floydean) Liggett, Atchison, KS; Pat Liggett, Atchison, KS; five grandchildren, Sadie Wojtowicz, Chase Wojtowicz, Kaitlyn, Hannah and Joel Hampton, and one great granddaughter, Ava Starling.
