Harvey Perl Sauvage, 87, of Havensville, KS passed away Monday, April 17, 2017 at Medicalodge Jackson County. He was born November 2, 1929 in Emmett, KS the son of Carl Charles and Nellie “Mae” (Day) Sauvage.

Harvey attended Holton and Havensville schools. He grew up helping his dad on the family farm and later was a farmer and stockman on his own farm south of Havensville.

He married Myra Lee Channel on September 12, 1953 in Emmett, KS. She survives. Other survivors include a son, Douglas Sauvage (Lana) of Havensville, KS; a sister, Betty Myers of Havensville, KS; 2 brothers, Carl Eugene “Gene” Sauvage of Havensville, KS and Bill L. Sauvage of Linn, KS; 3 grandchildren, Jessica L. Stowers, Auston Sauvage and Dennis DeVader; 3 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a son, Marc H. Sauvage on May 24, 2009.

Private family inurnment will be in the Havensville Cemetery. Mercer Funeral Home in Holton is in charge of arrangements.
