Robert L. “Bob” Mullen, 73, of Atchison, KS died on Sunday, Feb. 19, 2017 at his home.

Funeral services will be 10:30 am on Thursday, Feb. 23, 2017 at Trinity Lutheran Church with Rev. Robert Ziegler officiating. Burial will follow in St. John’s Cemetery, Potter, KS. The family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8:00 pm on Wednesday, Feb. 22, 2017 at the Becker-Dyer-Stanton Funeral Home.

Bob was born on Feb. 16, 1944 in Kansas City MO the son of Rolla A. and Dorothy “Helen” (Rees) Mullen. He served in the United States Navy during Vietnam. Bob worked as a mechanic for TWA and American Airlines for 18 years, and then as a welder for the former Rockwell International for 22 years. He was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church, the V.F.W. Post # 1175, Atchison, and a past president for the Parent-Teachers League at Trinity Lutheran School. He enjoyed painting cars, riding motorcycles and especially his daughter and granddaughter.

He was married to Connie Sullivan on June 17, 1967 at Trinity Lutheran Church. Connie survives of the home. Additional survivors include a daughter, Jodi Lynn Mullen, Kansas City, MO, a granddaughter, Adyson Bires, KC, MO, His parents, a step father, Scottie Stevens, a half-brother, Ronald Hisle and a step brother, Jim Stevens preceded him in death.
