Elisabeth L. “Libbi” Arnold, 58, Atchison, Kansas passed away Thursday, February 16, 2017 at the University of Kansas Medical Center in Kansas City, KS.

Mass of Christian burial will be Saturday, February 25, 2017 at 10:30 A.M. at St. Joseph’s Church with Rev. Jeremy Heppler as celebrant. Interment of cremated remains will follow in the Sunset Memory Gardens, Atchison, KS. Parish rosary will be recited on Friday, Feb. 24, at 6:30 P.M. at the Arensberg-Pruett Funeral Home with visitation to follow until 8:00 P.M. Libbi was born on February 6, 1959 in Cookeville, Tennessee the daughter of Travis L. and Margaret (Ingle) White. She graduated from the Leavenworth High School in 1977.

She and Gregory E. “Greg” Arnold were united in marriage on November 27, 1981 at the United Methodist Church in Atchison, Kansas. Mr. Arnold preceded her in death on November 29, 2005.

Libbi worked as an area supervisor for five Pizza Hut restaurants, a medical assistant for the office of Dr. James Ryder and most recently served as a cleaning lady for numerous homes in Atchison. She was a member of St. Benedict Parish in Atchison, KS, where she was active at St. Joseph’s Church.

She was sports enthusiast and loved supporting her children in their sporting activities. For many years, she kept statistics for the soccer and baseball teams at Maur Hill-Mount Academy School, she did not miss a game! She thought of many or her son’s friends over the years as her own children; she was a “mom to all”.

She is survived by her two children, Greg (Hillary) Arnold, Eudora, KS, Brent Arnold, Kansas City, MO, two sisters, Talli Weeks, Hanahan, SC, Debbi White, New Jersey, a granddaughter, Gwyn Arnold and her extended family, the McRae Family.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Greg Arnold and a son, Travis Arnold on July 26, 1991.
