Bobbie Jean (Austin) Humphrey, 82, of Lee Summit, Missouri was born on May 16, 1934, in Stollings, West Virginia to Robert and Jessie Marie (Boyd) Austin.  She attended school in Logan, West Virginia graduating from Logan High School with the class of 1954.  On April 12, 1958, Bobbie was united in marriage to Leroy Humphrey at the First Christian Church in Omaha, Nebraska.  To this union three children, Dan, Sheri, and Cindy were born.  The couple lived and raised their family in Omaha where early in her marriage; Bobbie worked for H & H Car dealership before becoming a full time stay at home mother.  Bobbie loved watching TV and was an avid weather watcher.  She spent years journaling in a daily notepad.  Bobbie was also a great cook who loved to bake.  She spent many hours cheering on her Nebraska Husker and West Virginia Mountaineer football teams.  Above everything, Bobbie loved her family.  She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and sister.  Bobbie passed away on Tuesday, October 25, 2016, at the John Knox Village in Lee Summit, Missouri having reached the earthly age of eighty-two years, five months, and nine days.

Bobbie is survived by her loving husband Leroy Humphrey of Kansas City; children: Dan Humphrey of Florida; Sheri McMahon and her husband Jeff of Prairie Village, KS; Cindy Parrott and her husband Aaron of Lenexa, KS; grandchildren: Chris, Katie, Anna and Heather Humphrey, Ashley and Alexis Parrott, and Delaney McMahon; a brother Charles Austin of Charleston, WV; sisters-in-law: Helyne Crawford of Omaha, NE; Babs Lovercheck of Council Bluffs, IA; Shirley Humphrey of Omaha, NE; and many other relatives and friends.  She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters Myla (Norman) Witten and Mary Lou Poro, sister-in-law Isabelle Austin, and brothers-in-law: Russ Crawford, George Lovercheck, and Kenneth Humphrey.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 29, 2016, at the Hall Funeral Chapel in Auburn, Nebraska with Pastor Michael Schmidt officiating.  Family will greet friends one hour prior to services.

Interment will be at the Walnut Grove Cemetery in Brownville, Nebraska.

Memorial contributions may be given to the Alzheimer’s Association.
