Margaret Naomi (Hill) Zimmerman was bon August 4, 1923 on a farm near Stella, NE to James Isaiah and Lillian Mae (Cummings) Hill.  She attended Tynan School, walking through a field with her brothers and sisters.  She graduated from Dawson High School.  She worked for other families, helping them when needed.   A friend invited her to go to an ice cream social at her church and she met Robert Ludwig Zimmerman.  They dated almost two years and then were married October 8, 1944.  After marriage she was baptized and confirmed at that same church, The Zion Evangelical and Reformed Church.  She was a faithful member of that church all her life, a part of the Builders Class, Choir, Sunday School and Bible School teacher, Women's Fellowship, sewing and quilting.   She wrote a special song, "This Old Country Church" which she sang while she played the guitar.  Throughout her life she wore many hats as Mother and Wife.  She had a big garden, helped milk cows, raised chickens and two kids!  She sewed for many people, her specialty was quilting.

She is survived by her husband Robert and daughter Susan (Bill) Sipple, daughter-in-law, Carol Zimmerman.  Grandchildren, Timothy Chesnut (Christi), Angela Chesnut, Robbie Sipple (Amanda), Christina Sipple (Jimmie Scarberry), Darcy Zimmerman (Charity) and Lindsay (Zimmerman) Druba (Jeff).  Step grandchildren, Lonnie Bahr (Cathy) and Kerry (Bahr) Fritz (Darrin).  14 Great grandchildren and 5 step great grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren and 1 step great-great grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by their son Thomas Allen Zimmerman, her parents and three brothers and four sisters.  Albert Hill, Raymond (Veattress) Hill, Vionetta (Dutch) Moodey, Martha (Donald) Sherman, Helen (Glenn) Rieger, Claudia (Marlin) Armbruster, Dorothy (Lloyd) Siercks and Howard "Bud" Hill. 

Funeral services will be Saturday, October 22, 2016 at 10:30 A.M. at the Zion United Church of Christ with Reverend Fay Ann Blaylock officiating. Inurnment will be in the Zion United Church of Christ Cemetery.
