Harold Eugene Schlender, 76, of Pawnee City, Nebraska passed away on Wednesday, October 12, 2016 in Lincoln, Nebraska. He was born on March 3, 1940 in Tecumseh, Nebraska to William Harold and Marie (Pierce) Schlender.

Harold is survived by his wife Virginia of Pawnee City, NE, daughter Cindy Johnson of Pawnee City, NE and sons, Rick Schlender and Jeff Schlender of Kearney, NE.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Monday, October 17, 2016 at Pawnee City United Methodist Church with Reverend Sherry Sklenar officiating.  Visitation: Sunday, October 16, 2016 from Noon-8 p.m., with family greeting friends from 5-7 p.m. at Wherry Mortuary, 919 G Street, Pawnee City, Nebraska.

Interment and committal services at 2:30 p.m. at the Tecumseh Cemetery, Tecumseh, Nebraska with full military rites provided by the United States Navy and the Pawnee City VFW Post 5289.  Memorials may go to the family's choice.
