Sharon Katherine Roggenkamp, 71, of Sabetha went to her eternal reward on July 20, 2016 after many years of health issues.  

She was faithful throughout her life and died peacefully and prayerfully surrounded by her family.

She was born November 20, 1944 in Marysville, Kansas to Francis and Emma (Genzler) Wynn.  Sharon graduated from St. Gregory’s Grade School and Marysville High School. She married the love of her life, Bill Roggenkamp, on October 16, 1965 at St. Gregory’s Church.  They then moved to Sabetha and were blessed to have 50 years of married life together.  

Sharon was a lifelong member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and the Altar Society at the church. Sharon greatly enjoyed family events, church events, watching her grandchildren, and traveling the country on vacations.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Norman Wynn, and a stillborn sister, Julita.

She is survived by her husband Bill; a son, Bill (Dolores) Roggenkamp of Sabetha; a daughter, Mary (Kevin) Hittle of Shawnee, Kansas; a sister and best friend, Carol Oom of Sabetha, and ten grandchildren whom she loved very much, and many nieces and nephews.

Mass of Christian Burial will be recited on Monday, July 25, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Sabetha.  A visitation will be Sunday evening from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. with a rosary recited at 7:00 p.m. at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Sabetha. Interment will be made in the Albany Cemetery.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Sacred Heart Catholic Church sent in care of Popkess Mortuary, 823 Virginia Sabetha, Kansas  66534.  www.popkessmortuaries.com
