Mary Ellen McKim, age 91, filled with faith and grace, went home to be with her Lord on Wednesday, June 29, 2016. 

She was born on June 22, 1925, on the family farm near Hiawatha, Kansas the youngest child of Ross Zimmers and Minerva (Royer) Zimmers.

Mary graduated from Hiawatha High School and worked at a beauty shop in Hiawatha after obtaining her cosmetologist license in Topeka.  She married Don McKim on October 3, 1948.  They spent most of their 58 years together on a farm outside of Morrill.  They were long time members of the Morrill Baptist Church and then charter members of the Grace Bible Church of Morrill. 

Don preceded her in death in December of 2006.  Mary had been residing close to her daughter in Kansas City from 2008 to present. 

Mary is survived by her two daughters, Sue (John) Grief and Shirley (Michael) McCormick; two sons, Roger (Suzanne) McKim and Scott (Rachell) McKim and 6 grandchildren. 

Funeral service will be Saturday, July 2, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at the Popkess Mortuary in Sabetha.  A visitation will be from 10:00 to service time at the funeral home.  The interment will be made in the Morrill Cemetery.
