Betty M. Perkins, 87, of Round Rock, TX formerly of Atchison, Kansas died Sat, April 30, 2106 at the Park Valley Care Center, Round Rock, TX.

Funeral services will be 2:00pm on Thursday, May 5th, 2016 at Becker-Dyer-Stanton Funeral Home with Rev. Nancy Kollhoff, Officiating. Burial will follow in the Sunset Memory Gardens, Atchison, KS.  The family will receive friends from   6:00 to 8:00 on Wednesday, May 4th, 2016 at the Becker-Dyer-Stanton Funeral Home. Betty Jones was born on May 18, 1928 in Leavenworth County Kansas the daughter of Elmer and Mariam (Newman) Jones.  Betty attended school in Leavenworth, Kansas. She operated the Atchison Country Kitchen Restaurant until moving to Meridan Kansas where she owned & operated “Perkys” Restaurant.  Betty was interested in antique furniture and enjoyed traveling and her grandchildren.

She was married to Frank Perkins on March 23, 1946 in Memphis, TN.  Mr. Perkins preceded her in death on Aug. 22, 2005.  Survivors include a son: Frank W. Perkins, III, Round Rock, TX. three grandchildren and  four great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.  Her parents, husband, daughter: Peggy Higley, four brothers: Bob, Pete, William and Willard Jones, four sisters: Virginia Torrance, Lorrene Whaley, Ruth Oxley, and Leona Jones, all preceded her in death.
