Opal D. Eltiste, 92, of rural Tecumseh, widow of Dale Eltiste, passed away at Gold Crest Retirement Center in Adams, Nebraska, Friday, February 05, 2016 at the age of 92 years, 1 month and 23 days.  She was born to Frederick and Katherina (Nordbrook) Torbeck on Dec. 12, 1923 south of Johnson, NE.  

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, February 10, 2016 at the St. John’s Lutheran Church in Sterling, Nebraska with Rev. Steve Chellew officiating.   Visitation will be at the Wherry Mortuary in Tecumseh, Nebraska, Tuesday, February 9, 2016 from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., with family greeting friends from 5-7 p.m.   Memorials in lieu of flowers may go to the family’s choice.   Interment will at 1:30 p.m. in the Vesta Cemetery, rural Tecumseh, Nebraska.  Online condolences may be left @ www.wherrymortuary.com.
