Michael Dean Harden, 48, of Atchison KS died unexpectedly at his home and was found on Monday, December 28, 2015.

Funeral services will be 3:00 pm on Saturday, Jan. 2nd, 2016 at the Becker-Dyer-Stanton Funeral Home with Sr. Mary Arie, Pastor of St. John’s Lutheran Church, Lancaster, KS officiating.  The family will receive friends from 1:00pm until time of service on Saturday at the funeral home.  The body will be cremated following the service and private family burial of cremated remains will be at a later date in the Old Huron Cemetery. Michael was born on July 26th, 1967 in St. Joseph, MO the son of Gary and Shirley (Ball) Harden.  He attended Atchison County Community High School.  Mike had worked for Northwest Pipe Company and then as a laborer at the SMART Warehousing, Atchison.   He enjoyed NASCAR racing, motorcycles, and boating.

He was married to Jamie Rumford in 1995. They were later divorced. Survivors include a daughter, Samantha Harden, Lancaster, KS, father; Gary Harden, Lancaster, KS., brother; Robert E. (Terri) Harden, Lancaster, KS., and sister; Roxanne (Phillip) Cody, Topeka, KS, and several nieces, nephews, uncles, aunts and cousins.  His mother Shirley preceded him in death.
