Maxine E. Metzger, 88, of Holton passed away Monday, December 28, 2015 at the Holton Community Hospital. She was born May 20, 1927 in Mayetta, KS the daughter of Theodore “Ted” and Irene (Magers) McClintock.

Maxine and her husband, Don, owned and operated Metzger Hardware in North Topeka for many years, before retiring.

She married Harry “Don” Metzger on August 9, 1948 in Lawrence, KS. He preceded her in death on January 17, 2000. She was also preceded in death by 3 brothers, Theodore McClintock, Jr., Joe McClintock and Gordon McClintock.

Survivors include a sister Barbara Wrosch of Onaga, KS; a sister-in-law Marianne McClintock of Holton and many nieces and nephews.

Graveside Services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, January 6, 2016 at the Mayetta Cemetery.
