Michael “Grump” Gormly, 46, of Atchison, KS, passed away Tuesday, December 8, 2015, unexpectedly at his home.

The body has been cremated and no services will be held.  Family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM, Monday, December 14, 2015 at Becker-Dyer-Stanton Funeral Home, Atchison, KS.  Memorials are suggested to the final expenses to help defray funeral costs and may be sent in care of the funeral home.  Online condolences may be left at www.beckerdyer.com.

Michael was born February 20, 1969, in Atchison, KS, the son of Jerald and Nancy (Hager) Gormly.  He was a plumber for JF Denney in Leavenworth, KS, a member of the Atchison ELKS BPO Lodge #647.  Michael coached the Atchison Recreation Bulldogs football team, he enjoyed wood working, playing golf, canoeing, fishing, working out, helping others workout, playing darts, pool and softball, shooting guns and mushroom hunting.  He was an avid Dallas Cowboys football fan.  Michael especially loved his family, friends, his dog Naudis and his truck.  He was a friend to everyone and everyone loved him.

Michael married Delores Gormly, they later divorced.  Survivors include his parents; Jerald and Nancy Gormly, Atchison, KS, a son Kaleb Gormly, Atchison, KS, a daughter; Shandel Gormly, Atchison, KS and a sister Margie (Don) Besette, Effingham, KS.
